Guessing Time!

Alright, it's that time again for us! In two weeks we find out if we will have a baby girl, or a baby boy... or both! j/k, but you can see if you're intuition is right or if your gut feeling is totally off (as much as a 50 50 choice can be "off"). I cannot wait to find out, and we don't have any real clue either way! At the very beginning I thought girl, but now I have no inkling as to what it is, and that makes it so much more exciting! We soon will know! Take a second and vote on the right hand side!

Handsome Helpful Hubby

So, First I have to admit something. I have been falling behind lately. I have been emotional, moody, and sometimes hard to deal with I'm sure. I have also (though I hate to complain) been feeling a tad sick and tired a lot. I feel like I do stuff every day, but at the end of the day things seem just as disorganized, if not more so. BUT this isn't a post about my excuses, it's a post about how great my husband has been. I have noticed little things he's done that I haven't always mentioned, but they've always touched my overly tender heart! haha

-He has let me take naps when he has been home to do so.
-He has cleaned up the house on weekends.
-He has not complained when meals have been less than creative.
-He helped me peal peaches one night since plan changes left me doing peaches alone.
-He has told me I could do things that I didn't/don't think I can.
-He has lots of good ideas to help me out in nursery when I brainstorm ideas with him.
-And, he has helped out with bedtime almost every night (whenever he's been home) and often taken the more rowdy kid (Brenna) and letting me take Mason and enjoy my cuddle time with him.

I know there were other things on my list, but I waited to write this and so this is what I remember off the top of my head. So this is sort of a thank you to him for the little things that have made a difference to me lately! I am getting more put together too and so hopefully can return the small favors with the things he appreciates most as well! Like today the kitchen was messy from peaches and things, so I have cleaned it all up, and that is for all of us! We have our kitchen back after a weekend of canning peaches!

So Since I have been a slacker and my electronics haven't been cooperating, here are the pictures that I could convince to transfer to my computer of our lives lately!  There are a lot, but bare with me, we've been through a bit of a dry spell lately and I know you're dying to get your Cook-kid fix!  haha

Nothing is as fun as a box!  My kids are definitely fans of boxes and I'm all for some cheap entertainment!  They started out trying to both sit in a rather small box, but it got squishy, so Brenna turned into a chauffeur of sorts.

I didn't take too many splash pad photos, but trust me, this is how a good majority of our summer in AZ was spent!

Mason LOVES reading lately.  He loves books and he loves repeating back anything you say at all.  I went in Brenna's room to start bedtime stuff and found this.  She moved her chair up onto the big bed and was reading Mason a story.  They were both pretty proud of themselves too.

This has got to be one of my favorite things about my kids right now.  If I say "hold your brother's hand" about 80% of the time they will happily walk this way until they get where they are going or get away from the road or whatever.  I just melt every time I see them holding hands so happily!

Brenna has grown quite an active imagination over the past year or so, and her games always make me laugh.  They are in their "house" I believe playing mommy.  That's one of her favorite games, but sometimes I hope that her depiction of mommy isn't exactly accurate!!

This is Mason's first night without the binky.  This was after a lot of crying and a long process so I couldn't resist snapping a picture!

Friends! (usually!)

Brenna outside the Glendale Police Department... she had to do some time.  Ok, not really, but she was really excited to see actual police men, and we were both a little disappointed that not a single police man/woman smiled or waved at her or anything despite her loud exclamations of excitement each time one passed by us in the building!

5 seconds before this photo they were sitting happily holding hands watching TV.  I tried to snap a picture, but when they saw what I was doing, it ended the peace!

This is part of the mommy game.  Her favorite thing to do is to put Mason to bed.  She will lay him down, cover him up, and then sing a song and rub his back until he has had enough and gets up... then we do it all again!

Happy boy!

Ok, so the kids were kissing, and it was adorable... excuse Brenna's improper attire.  I was trying so hard to get a picture of them each puckered up and about to kiss, but I kept missing the moment.  It was funny anyway.

And something to show them when they're older and grossed out by eachother.  haha

Whew!  Got your fix?  haha I guess that has us about up to date.  I have been a slacker at taking pictures for the last month or so and I'm not sure how reliable my new cords are, so we will see what comes next, and when!  But for now, we are grateful for the rain and the miniature cool down we're enjoying.  We are glad to be in the second trimester for our 3rd little kidlet and excited to find out what gender we will be expecting in a month!  And we're keeping on keeping on I guess!

10 years ago today I was at my first or second day of highschool.  I remember being in this big new place and already being confused, and then we started hearing about something happening in the US.  Most of my classes that day let us watch the news coverage instead of do school, and everybody just seemed stunned.  I don't think I really knew what was going on.  I knew it was terrible, but I was young, and it seemed like something so far away and from a movie or from history, not from today and just on the east coast.
Since then I have grown up, and learned a lot more about what happened that day.  It is devastating how many lives were lost and the implications of the attack.  Since then many more lives have been lost in war.  It is hard to think about these things being around us when we are lucky enough to live in a place and lifestyle where we don't have to see it every day.  I am a proud Canadian and American, and also a lover of peace.  I hope that we don't have to be victim to another attack, especially one so devastating, and also I pray for those people who were effected by 9/11 and those who have loved ones who are soldiers.  Thank you!

Mason's Hair Reveal!

We finally cut Mason's hair!  Well Jeremy did while I was teaching piano.  His hair was getting long, and although we all liked it, we figured for the last few weeks of 100 degree days we would give him a cooler do.  He was pretty alright with getting his hair cut, no crying, just some fidgeting, and he's loving his new look!  So am I!

Oh man, Can I just say for a moment how frustrated I am!  haha I somehow lost every cord I took to Canada with me... ipod charger, phone charger, camera charger and USB... frustrating, right?  Then I finally went online and got some replacements for my camera stuff, and then I finally got them in the mail.    I was so excited since it had been a couple of weeks since I could even take a picture.  I charged my camera all up and then sat down to upload all of my photos from before, and the videos on my video camera too so I could have a great blog post... not so!
I used the new cord for uploading my photos, and it uploaded two out of about 50, and then DELETED all of the rest of them!  So they are gone, never to be seen again.  AND my video camera, which has it's original cord and never had a problem before, wouldn't be recognized by imovie for some reason and so I also couldn't upload any videos!  So, there goes about an hour or more of my life fiddling with stuff and I have nothing to show for it!  But take my word, There were some cute pictures, and video's including one of Brenna singing "The Ixy Mixy Spider" (that's what she calls it and it has a tune all of it's own... but you'll just have to trust me that it's cute!).
Whew... there we go.  Just needed to get that off of my chest!  I don't know what to do!  My poor electronics!
