Let's Go Ride a Bike!

Since my blog posts have become very sporadic, I thought I'd throw in a random one, since I took a video and everything!  So last weekend I took the kids out front to ride their bikes in the cul-de-sac.  Brenna (5.75) and Mason (4.1) both had training wheels on their bikes still.  Last summer we tried to teach Brenna for a while, but she was a little too nervous and it made it impossible.  So Mason comes up to me and says mom, I think I can ride my bike without these extra wheels.  I sort of laughed and said "you do, do you?" but just thought it was funny.  The next morning I decided we should take a family trip to the park (Saturday) to try it out!  So we went over, took off the training wheels, and prepared for a painful day of chasing them around with a hand on the seat.  Nope!  Mason was first and he simply took off.  No help at all!  It was so nuts!  Then Brenna's wheels were off and she couldn't be shown up, so off she went too without any help!  It was so awesome!  We have been riding nearly every day since then at the park, and they are both really good now!  This was the first day:

This video just makes us laugh because of the pole thing... it was funny.

Here is a better one of all the kids riding!

P.S. - If you are in Canada and reading this... don't be jealous... come for a visit!  It's gonna be a scorcher this week, and I would gladly trade you spots for a while!
