Boo's, News, and Candy Corn

Well, not much going on here... oh, except....... WE'RE MOVING!!!!!!  We have had an offer on a short sale home for over 4 months now, and were starting to lose hope that it would happen, but we found out this week that we've finally been approved!!!  So, things are getting finalized and inspected and stuff this week and next week, and we should be moving beginning - mid November!  We are really excited about it, but also a little sad.  It's definitely hard to leave somewhere where you're comfortable and have friends and callings and a place to fit in for something new and unknown.  Brenna is sad she has to quit preschool, but I think we're all pretty excited as well!!
If you want to see some pictures of the listing of our new home, go here and take a look!  Obviously nothing is 100% until we get the keys, but not much could go wrong at this point!

A few other happenings.  Brenna wouldn't go to school without her backpack the other day even though they don't need backpacks at preschool.  It was cute though!

We go watch Jeremy play softball sometimes on Thursday evenings, and last Thursday Owen slid right out of the stroller and got a bump.  It was really sad, and I felt horrible for leaving him unbuckled after a diaper change for like 30 seconds, but it didn't leave as much of a mark as I thought it would and cleared up fast.  You can see the bruise line on his forehead here a little, this was about 3 or 4 days after the accident.  Poor boy, bad mommy...

I saw this idea and thought it was so cute and so I had to try it.  Like the same day I saw it on Pinterest. I used all old t-shirts of mine that I had in a stash for repurposing, and I really like it!  She just needs a black shirt to top off the halloween look!

Remember?

So, if you remember when I was bragging about this boy and his underwear... yah, I totally jinxed it!  This picture was taken on May 10th.  Today is October 8th.  So that is 5 months of potty training.  Ug. We went back to diapers after an unspeakable amount of accidents, and lots of crying and tantrums.  The potty became a huge fight where Mason would cry if I even mentioned going potty.  So we were back in diapers for a while, then we'd try again, then back... I know, the worst mom ever.  They say not to go back and forth, and trust me, I didn't want to, but it came down to the happiness in our home vs. potty training.

ANYWAY, 5 months later, and I think we're done!  Lets hope I'm not jinxing it again, but one week ago today we ran out of diapers for Mason and thought it was about time to try again anyway.  That sam day I happened to find a huge book of Thomas stickers in the Target dollar spot (I LOVE the Target dollar spot!) and so we came home and made a sticker potty chart!  Mason LOVES putting up his stickers!  In fact, the chart is almost full already!  He no longer has accidents very often, and has started telling me when he needs to go.  And the most exciting news of all is that all of his #2's are in the potty!!!!!  That was our biggest issue before, so it's a little ridiculous how happy this makes me!  So proud of my big boy!!!!

Bat-person

Well, a few things that I've got my camera out for lately!  Brenna got her first non-mom hair cut the other day!  I have given her a trim before, but her hair is a mystery to me with it's half straight-half curly-still babyish hair-ness, and I thought I'd have someone who knows a bit more about it to help me out!  She got a healthy trim and some layers to help with the top being so much straighter than the bottom.  She was sad because she wants "rapunzel hair", but we didn't take too much off and I think it'll grow better now!  Yay!

The other day I made the kids bat-masks during quiet time.  I thought they'd be over the moon and it would keep them entertained most of the afternoon.  They were excited, but these pictures were about as long as it lasted.  Unfortunately the thrill seemed to wear off quickly, but it was fun for a few minutes, and we still have them for later!

Plus... have you ever seen cuter bat-super-hero's?  I have not!

They wouldn't stop doing like kung fu moves for the pictures.  They've never seen batman, but they have the right idea.
Lastly, hats.  Jeremy left his hat out, and the kids were so happy.  Mason has a hat, and Brenna took Jeremy's and they put on a hat show!

I am not sure why, but they did this like 10 times... they're pretty insync though.. practicing for their future performing careers!

Not to be left out, Owen looks pretty cute with daddy's hat on too!

I also thought I should mention that despite my post a while ago about Mason potty training so well, we have been back and forth and mostly in diapers for a couple of months now, but today we ran our of diapers, so he is back in underwear and we're hoping it's for good!  He did a number 2 in the potty today which is really all I wanted for Christmas!  Yay!
