Mostly May

I have been meaning to do a catch up for a while now!  As usual, better late than never!  We have had some fun things going on!  And the kids have been keeping me on my toes.  My parents came into town a few weeks ago, so we got to spend the weekends out at the Glbert house.  We had an (almost) Adult only date night to celebrate some birthdays.  It was nice to get away with grown ups for a night! (plus my cute sidekick who we ditched halfway through!)

We went to church out there and even got some pictures beforehand, which I only get about 1/10th of the times I think about doing it!

And the kids spent a lot of time outside in the backyard, in the pool, and in the hottub!  The Gilbert house is like their paradise!

We came home for the week, while Jeremy went to New York City for a work training for a few days!  He went early to site see for a day and had a really nice time!  It was my birthday that week too and my parents drove over to see us and go out to dinner before I had to get Jeremy from the airport.

We visited the new splash pad they just put in right by our house... needless to say it was disappointing.  You really would have thought they'd do like WAY better on a new splash pad... not cool.

This little angel started crawling this week too!  Now she's into everything!

Then we went back out to the Gilbert house for the weekend again!  This time Jessica and Mike came too!  We enjoyed spending time with all of them!

Jeremy was very excited to introduce the kids Monopoly, one of his favorite games.  He finds a hard time convincing people to play with him, but the kids were more than willing!

My mom came back with me to stay for a few days to give my sister and her hubby a few days to themselves.  I loved having her stay at my house with us!  We also squeezed in a girls night out with Karli and Katlyn, and we hit up the last part of a Diamonbacks game while we switched mom back out to Gilbert!

Brenna has been working almost non-stop since Easter to successfully blow a bubble.  She's figured it out!  Hurray!

Since everyone left, we have been keeping very busy!  Jeremy had a birthday and we had a dinner for him.  We also got to sneak out the night before and see the new Avengers movie!  On the day of his Birthday, Sunday, we were waiting for everyone to arrive, and a micro burst (mini-tornado) hit our home!  It was so crazy!  We thought it was thundering, but it was wind.  In the backyard we watched as everything not tied down swirled around and our pool fence almost blew over!  We thought it was nuts!  But sort of cool.  We only lost a tarp which few off high into the sky and never came back.  A few days later, Jeremy's brother noticed our roof was messed up!  So we are getting that all figured out, but thank goodness for insurance!

We had a very nice mothers day where the kids and Jeremy treated me like a queen, and made me feel special!
The school year is winding down and so I got to go to a mothers day breakfast at Masons preschool, and Brenna had her BUGZ show at her school, which was very cute!  She had her lines, and some extra lines from a child who didn't show up.  She did very well!  I can't believe she is almost done 1st grade!

Jeremy is really good at getting the kids to help out.  He had them busy all Mothers day loading and unloading the dishwasher, making meals, washing potatoes... they were (especially Brenna) very happy to help too!  I thought it was adorable how careful they were being washing all of their potatoes!
Sadie wasn't sure what was going on with the potatoes..

This is her with her best friend Alivia!

This little lady is crawling and getting more brave and independent every day!  Here are just a few random photos from lately!

My kids, proud to be an American!

Owen has been testing my patience more than usual lately.. but he's also a sweetheart!

This is what I got when I said to do serious cool faces.

Another of Brenna half dressed as a firefly for her BUGZ show.

I kept thinking he looked slick in his outfit this day!

Owen has been having tantrums lately, which if really unlike him.  It's been wearing on my patience.  The other day though he'd had a few fits and then in the evening we were driving to Brenna's show, and out of the blue he got serious and said from the backseat "mommy, I'm sorry I was crying today.  I don't want to be mad at you".  It was so funny because it was earlier in the morning when he'd been upset.  He finds ways to melt me!

We have lots of stuff coming up too as school lets out, so I'll try and take pictures!!!!
