Is Christmas really over now?  We sure had a wonderful Christmas this year!  We flew to Canada late late on the 23rd and got to my parents house at about 12:30 AM.  The flight went pretty well considering it was late and the kids were exhausted, and apart from not much sleep the first night, we have had a seamless transition!  The kids are excited to see the snow, and confused by the cold, but actually it's not very cold at all here right now and we've been enjoying great weather!  The first time Brenna saw the snow she ran right out to touch it in her bare feet and quickly ran back inside crying about how cold the snow is!  haha She still wants to touch it a lot, but only with gloves and shoes on!

On Christmas Eve we went out for Chinese food as is the Smith family tradition, and it was incredible!  One thing I miss a lot from Calgary is Chinese food from Bill's Peking house!  It's so good!  It did not disappoint!  We then went to the outdoor nativity pageant done by the church every year and were glad that it wasn't as cold as usual!  We still bundled up for the 30 or so minutes outside, and enjoyed seeing the presentation!

When we came home we quickly let the kids open their pj's and then put them to bed!  They were excited to open their first present finally, but a little disappointed to find jammies inside and be told it was time to go straight to bed!   haha

This was the first year Brenna knew much of anything about Santa, and she was very excited!  The kids were so much fun this year, and we are grateful to be here with my family to celebrate!  The kids slept in till 8, which was nice, and then we woke up everybody with yells of Santa being here.  The kids got spoiled with candy, toys and presents and loved every bit of it!  Brenna was the designated gift runner and helped open probably every present!

Both of the kids' stockings were surrounded by underwear among other things... it's a hint for Mason, it might be time!

My sisters got matching onsie jammies.. haha they are sooo cool!

Grandpa and his new skeet shooter for the farm from the family!

Uncle Devin got a tool belt from his new soon to be in-laws!

Brenna, always a princess

Mason didn't participate too much in the gift opening, but stayed busy on one ipod or another!

Grandma and Grandpa got Brenna the most beautiful dress to wear to church, and she enjoyed getting dressed up and looking like a real princess!

We still have a lot of exciting things to look forward to this week with my sister getting married and lots of time with family, and we can't help but continue to feel so blessed as this year draws to a close and we count our blessings.  We are grateful to have wonderful family and friends and for answers to prayers and surprise blessings!  We hope everybody else also had a great Christmas!  More updates to follow!
